Travis Scott’s team reported that the rapper bought a Bugatti Veyron Chiron Super Sport in 2020 for $5.5 million. With photos leaking on the internet last week, though, the public assumed that it was a new and recent purchase.

TMZ reported that the family of the Astroworld victim Ezra Blount was triggered after seeing such an expensive vehicle. They emphasized that their child could have still been alive if Scott had used that money to promote the better safety of his fans at the tragic festival.

However, one of Travis’ reps spoke out. They said this was just another way to “gaslight” the media and the public. He also mentions, “[This] is a new low. The car referenced was purchased way back in 2020.”
The Texas native’s team member also added, “Misrepresenting a two-year-old car purchase to make an unprovoked and unjustified attack on Travis Scott is nothing more than another desperate publicity stunt to try to falsely blame Travis. And intentionally manipulate public opinion, which won’t work.”
The same family of this victim also spoke out against Travis Scott back when he launched a philanthropic and safety initiative Project Heal, in March. They told Rolling Stone it was just a “stunt” for the media. . “He’s trying to make himself look good, but it doesn’t look that way to someone with our eyes,” they stated.
Unfortunately, the tragic event that led to ten people losing their lives back in November 2021 has caused a lot of trouble for Travis Scott, as he is facing hundreds of lawsuits.
