One of the most hyped songs off of Drake’s new ‘Honestly, Nevermind‘, “Jimmy Cooks,” has gained the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100.

Billboard has announced that the single amassed over 42 million streams, three million radio airplay audience impressions, and 6,000 downloads sold in just the first week. This makes the 6 God’s song his 11th number one release on the chart and the second one in 2022 alone after “Wait for U” in May. For 21 Savage, on the other hand, “Jimmy Cooks” is his second number one song after “Rockstar” which was a collaboration with Post Malone back in 2017.
Both rappers had something to say on their Instagram stories following their achievements. Drake wrote, “11 11 that stat line is gods work” and 21 added “Blessings” as they shared a picture of the charts.

Drizzy and Whitney Houston are now tied at number seven for the most No. 1 singles of all time (11). A few legends ahead of him include The Beatles (20), Michael Jackson (13), and Rihanna (14).
Drake has now become the first solo male artist to achieve the No. 1 spot on Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts at the same time with two separate releases. This includes his most recent project with “Jimmy Cooks” and Certified Lover Boy with “Way 2 Sexy” back in 2021.
Finally, after his release party for his new album, the Toronto native addressed the mixed reviews he heard about his new project. He said, “That’s what we do! We wait for you to catch up. We in here, though, we caught up already. On to the next. My goodness!” This was in response to public criticism, as many people believe his project to be “different” than anything he has ever done.
