The controversial YouTube celebrity Kevin Samuels has reportedly passed away and caused a flurry of reactions on social media.
News first reported that the self-declared image consultant was dead at 56 on the night of Thursday (May 5). In the NBC News report published on Friday (May 6), Samuels’ mother confirmed the news of his death. She stated she first learned about it online. The report has been circulating on social media and has generated a response from some hip-hop enthusiasts.
Quality Control Music CEO Pierre P Thomas posted on Twitter expressing his condolences. Also, Gangsta Boo posted a series of tweets expressing his frustration with nasty comments about Kevin Samuel. “Mfs was mad at him for having his own perspective and opinions, which in some cases was accurate asf. Yall pathetic for that.”
Kevin Samuels gained notoriety in the past few years due to his unapologetic consultation videos on YouTube. People who watched it thought it was attacking black women. He would often reprimand women on his YouTube channel, which boasts more than 1.4 million viewers, for their lifestyle choices, which often caused fury on the internet.
As per The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Police responded to a report of injuries to a person in an apartment located near East Paces Ferry Road NE early on Thursday morning. The first responders performed CPR on a man who was not responding. The man was later identified later as Samuels. The woman who lived at the house was reported to have told police Samuels was complaining of chest discomforts and then collapsed.
