Drake and DJ Drama have had beef for some time now. But, thanks to Jack Harlow, we can finally lay it to rest.
People were shocked to see Drake on Jack Harlow’s new album “Come Home The Kids Miss You.” Harlow signed to D.J. Drama’s record label “Generational Now.” A lot of people were speaking out about this conflict. Finally, Drama clarified on Twitter the beef between him and Drake was laid to rest.
The Drake and D.J. Drama beef dates back to 2015 when word spread about the Gangsta Grillz mixtape. Drake got called out for not making his lyrics in his verse in the 2015 single R.I.C.O.
There have always been allegations about Drake having a ghostwriter. These allegations motivated Drake to come out with his Grammy-nominated diss track “Back to Back.”
Drake and DJ Drama Settle Beef
As time moved forward, the two rappers settled their differences. But with them settling their differences, they have no real motivation to repair their relationship from either camp. There was another hit single that Drake took a shot at, DJ Drama. It was on DJ Khaled’s 2016 single “For Free.” DJ Drama sat down in an interview with N.O.R.E. and confirmed that the Drake camp came back at him by having sexual relations with his girl.
Drama told The Breakfast Club in 2021 that they had some small talk. Since the beef began, they haven’t seen each other, but there has been some small communication. Lastly, he believes they will sit down and build off what has happened in the past at some point.
Jack Harlow’s new album “Come Home The Kids Miss You” includes features from many stars, including Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, and Pharell Williams.
A prediction by HITS Daily Double says the album will earn between 160,000-180,000 album equivalents in the first week. Also, the album is expected to debut at No. 1 on Billboard 200 list. The album will be Jack Harlow’s first project that reaches No. 1. Although, he has landed a single on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to “First Class.”
