Flavor Flav is doing his part in making his monthly child support payments for his 3-year-old son. However, even though he makes these monthly payments, he still owns a significant amount to the child’s mom. In 2019, shortly after the child was born, a DNA test confirmed that he was the dad.
Kate Gammell, the mother of Flavor Flav’s child, worked out a child support agreement, and he agreed to pay $3,000 a month. Kate Gammell used to be the manager for Flavor Flav.
By the time Flavor Flav started paying, Jordan was two years old. During the first two years, Kate had covered a lot of the expenses. Kate wanted Flav to pay his fair share. Under the agreement, Flav said he would pay all of Jordan’s expenses, totaling $78,704.
Flavor Flav was supposed to make the $78,000 payment last month but Kate’s family came out and said nothing had come in yet.
Flav came out and said that he is working on his finances and still fully intends to pay the $78,000. He is continuing to make the $3,000 payments every month. Also, there is a $100,000 attorney fee that he is paying. So he has paid $40,000 so far. Flav is doing his very best to provide a great life for his son and be there to support him.
Flavor Flav sees his son from time to time and wants to continue having a great relationship.
