Backstory:
Wednesday (June 22nd), Bronx native Lil Tjay was rushed to the hospital after being brutally shot at the shopping center in Edgewater New Jersey. Lil Tjay is now awake.
The Good News:
Direct sources of Lil Tjay reported the 21 year old, “calling my phone” rapper is awake, alert, and speaking on his own. Doctors also recently removed his breathing tube and although he was shot in the neck and chest multiple times. His voice reportedly sounds normal which is amazing all things considered.
The Suspects:
Three suspects have been taken into custody in the attempted robbery/shooting of the young artist prior to waking up. Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said Mohamed Konate attempted to commit an armed robbery on Lil Tjay and two of his friends. When confronted Konate was the one that allegedly fired the near-fatal shots.
Tjay’s Support:
Hip hop stars such as Casanova and more came through and delivered heart-felt messages for Tjay wishing him the best.
The Brooklyn rapper currently in jail said “N-gga you know better!” he wrote on an Instagram Story. “Praying for you from my jail cell lil bro. You gonna be alright tough times don’t last long only tough people do. And you a bad mother f**ka!!! When you get out stop by the crib and pick that bulletproof up!!! @liltjay”.
With Tjays most recent project “Destined To Win” arriving in 2021 finding itself on billboard top 100. With songs such as “Calling My Phone” featuring 6LACK and “Headshot” alongside Fivio Foreign and Polo G its safe to say he had a lot of people in his corner wishing for a smooth and speedy recovery for the young artist.
