Travis Scott’s fan base is one of the most loyal in the hip-hop world. Travis Scott just had his first merchandise drop since his Astroworld concert back in November. The drop went crazy!
The merchandise included pants, jackets, shirts, and vests. Also, he came out with two new pairs of Travis Scott Air Trainer 1’s. But, the shoes were the real winner for his fans. It was a frenzy trying to cop one of them.
There was so much demand for the shoe drop that Travis Scott’s team had to create a raffle to be fair to everyone.
More than a million people signed up for the raffle in only 30 minutes. These are insane numbers and it shows people are still crazy for Travis Scott’s merchandise.
Security and holding the integrity of the drop was a big concern for Travis Scott’s team. So they worked with web developers to set up anti-bot protection. Shoe drops are known to get swooped up by computer bots before any actual human can do it themselves.
Travis Scott and Nike will be working with each other moving forward. They show no signs of slowing down. Rumors are saying there is an additional drop next week, possibly this Friday 5/27.
Also, Travis Scott had massive numbers on his McDonald’s partnership. On top of McDonald’s, his Fortnite and Cacti Hard Seltzer did tremendous numbers.
The Nike launch was delayed a bit while Nike looked into the incident at Scott’s Astroworld concert. Travis is slowly getting back into the limelight, performing at the Billboard Awards last week.
