St. Petersburg musician Rod Wave is arrested and charged with strangulation battery. According to the records of booking of the Pinellas County Jail.
The rap superstar, Rodarius Marcell Green, detained on a warrant issued out of Osceola County. Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Amanda Sinni told the Tampa Bay Times.
Rod Wave Arrested
Firstly, according to the affidavit of arrest issued by the St. Petersburg Police Department, Green was taken into custody after an arrest at 5119 Venetian Boulevard NE on Sunday night. Green was sitting in the car’s passenger, which was a 2021 Grey Dodge Durango that he owned. And his driver’s license confirms his identity.
Green, taken to Pinellas County Jail just after midnight Monday, the jail records reveal. The details of the arrest were not immediately available.
Finally, Green signed with the startup record label Alamo Records in 2018. The career of Green began to take off in the year 2020 following the release of his hit song Heart on Ice. Which caught fire on TikTok and also broke his way into the Billboard Hot 100.
In an email sent to The Times, Alamo Records, bought from Sony Music Entertainment last year, declined to comment on Green’s arrest.
Rod Wave Gives Back
Recently the rap artist handed out $25,000 worth of gas to local drivers. Unfortunately, the generous act created long lines and huge crowds at the St. Petersburg station on April 9.
Green also had a high-profile arrest in the year 2020 in Atlanta. A stage he was performing on collapsed, and he was able to avoid injury. However, green punched a promoter, according to police in their arrest declaration. Rod Wave is arrested and was charged with battery during the fight, according to court records.
