Tori Lanez In Search for a New Lawyer
The lawyer for Tory Lanez has dropped their client due to “irreconcilable differences”, Radar Online reports. This means that Lanez will have to look for someone else to represent him in the lawsuit involving Love & Hip-Hop. Wednesday in court, attorney Christopher E. Lanezs’ lawyer filed a motion to withdraw from the case, with Ells stating that he would have to remove himself from the case.
He explained his ineffectiveness in “representing” the Canadian artist to the judge, who then agreed and signed off on it. Ells explained that it was in their best interest to stay out of the case. Lanez has been dealing with the legal repercussions of an incident that occurred at LIV Miami in 2019.
The Police Statement
In his statement to the police, Prince said that Tory Lanez and his team came up to him at 4 in the morning, and then he was hit in the face. Prince recently clarified that it was an employee of the Tory entourage who had assaulted him. The following is from a statement from Prince`s rep, “Immediately after punching [Prince] in the face, [Tory’s] employee/agent fled and attempted to enter [Tory’s] vehicle,” an excerpt from the lawsuit reads. “However, [Tory] yelled at the agent/employee and instructed him to leave the premises in a separate vehicle.”
Lanezs’ representative released a statement from Lanez saying that he was nowhere near the alleged victim when the incident occurred and that the victim was “obsessed.” In addition, he pointed out that there wasn’t any evidence that supported Prince’s story.
