According to the release, the deal strengthens the relationship between them. It will let Universal Music Group handle the artist’s entire catalog of music and audiovisual and merchandise projects.

Universal Music Group’s top brand management and merchandise business, Bravado, will also be supporting The Weeknd. He will be helping with expanding and creating global branding, merchandising, and e-commerce. As well as retail licensing opportunities for future projects and new releases.
