Andrew “Drew” Taggart of The Chainsmokers was allegedly punched by T.I after he kissed him on the cheek. During a recent nightclub encounter, Chainsmokers Alexander “Alex” Pall and Taggart recorded a video for the EDM duo’s TikTok page on Tuesday (August 16).
The Incident Between T.I. & The Chainsmokers
After posing for a photo with Tip, Taggart then describes the incident in the backseat of a car. The video is titled “When meeting T.I. goes wrong”.
He admits the punch was justified after explaining he kissed the rapper because he was feeling the vibes too strongly. As Pall laughs in the background, Drew says, “T.I. just literally punched me in the face”. “We’re in a vibe and I, like, gave him a kiss on the cheek — it was totally my fault.”
“And he was like, ‘Don’t do that.’ And I was like, ‘OK.’ He pushed me off and I was like, ‘Alright, my bad’ … And he was like, ‘Alright cool, we’re good.’ It was the weirdest interaction ever.”
He went on to say: “First of all, T.I. is fully in the right here. I was feeling the vibes way too hard and I kissed T.I. on the cheek. And he punched me in the face for it! It’s fully fine.”
For his community service and philanthropic efforts in Atlanta, Hustle Gang honcho recently received the Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award.
At a ceremony at the Georgia State Capitol, T.I. said, “In the grand scheme of things, we are only here on Earth in this life for a short period of time, and once we leave, people won’t remember the clothes we wore or the things we have”.
“We will only be remembered by what we meant to our family, our children and what we were able to do for others.”
