Quavo Talks About The Migos’ Current State and Mentions Saweetie Incident

With many doubts and rumors about the Migos, including talks about them canceling their Governor’s Ball performance, Quavo cleared things up in a recent interview. Quavo also brings up his ex-girlfriend Saweetie.

GQ Hype:

Quavo, who was the latest artist to receive the GQ Hype cover treatment, discussed the current status of the popular Migos group among several other topics for the fans.

Talking to write Jewel Wicker, the Atlanta legend emphasized the importance of each group member building up their individual catalog. He believes that this will only help the long-term success of the collective.

He mentioned, “It was all about Migos, Migos, Migos. The three of us. I feel like every group member has to establish themselves. Their own body of work. If not, you start losing members.” Quavo also noted that he sees himself as a ”quarterback” and now is the perfect time to keep making plays.

Quavo and Saweetie Update:

With attention to some footage of Quavo and Saweetie, his ex-girlfriend, arguing in 2020, Quavo addressed the context of the situation. He told GQ Hype he would “never once in a million years want to do any harm to any woman, period” and added, “I don’t like what people think. When they saw the elevator thing they thought it was abusive, something crazy.”

Overall, the Migos do not look like they are going anywhere anytime soon. Instead, the three members seem to be working on their individual accolades which will only strengthen their group’s trajectory.
