Back in June of 2021, Polo G was involved in a sticky altercation when he was arrested after his album release party in Miami. He had multiple charges lined up against him including battery against a police officer. On July 7th, bodycam footage was released and revealed what truly happened.
Polo was accused of a physical quarrel with a cop during a traffic stop, leaving the officer injured with multiple hits to the face. The bodycam, however, proved the Chicago rapper was more verbal than he was physical.
In some videos shared to Akademik’s Instagram, you can hear Polo G sounding annoyed in the back of a law enforcement vehicle while trying to get the attention of the police officers. As one of the cops asked him to stop, the rapper went off on him and called him ”broke.”
What did Polo G say?
Polo G screamed, “You broke as hell!”. “I’m just sayin’, do you got $10,000 in your bank account right now? ‘Cause if you die right now, what could you give your kids? If you die right now, what could you give the lady that you in bed with? What could you give to your mama? Have you ever bought yo mama anything? Did you buy yo mama a car? Did you buy yo mama a house? I did that.”
An officer replied to him saying ”Good for you, bro. I’m glad you did that… I would love to do that one day,” which led to the rapper’s rebuttal, “You would love to do it, but you never will.”
Stacia Mac, who is Polo G’s mother and manager, accused the police of racially profiling her son during this incident in Miami.
On the bright side, this case was completely dismissed in April as Polo G completed the requested anger management classes.
New Project:
The hip-hop star is now moving on to bigger things, as he is dropping a joint project with Southside soon. In recent teasers, Polo G has also made it known that he has some collaborations with Hit-Boy and Playboi Carti in the works.
