Lil Wayne On Jackie Robinson Inauguration With Barry Bonds

Lil Wayne emerges at center stage for the Inaugural Celebrity Soft Ball Game. The game featured one of baseball’s most celebrated yet revered public figures.

Both Wayne and Barry Bonds were pictured alongside one another in attendance at the game on the official Instagram page for baseball’s most iconically celebrated athlete of all time Jackie Robinson. Famed R&B singer Mario was also in attendance photographed alongside Wayne and Bonds. Although the picture has since been deleted off of Robinson’s page.

Lil Wayne has fully decked out the dugout and is ready for battle in his full No 42 Los Angeles Dodger’s Jackie Robinson Uniform. Smile plastered ear to ear across his face. Weezy is also pictured inside of the dugout getting ready to go up to bat. Weezy happened to be the featured artist off of the Kanye West track “Barry Bonds” from Kanye’s 2007 album “Graduation.”

“The Inaugural Celebrity Softball Game And Home Run Derby presented by @bumpboxx Presented this past Sunday night at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Los Angeles.” In a statement made by the Jackie Robinson Foundation, “Thank you to the countless folks. Both celebrity guests and fans. Who joined us in celebrating 75 years since Jackie Robinson altered the landscape of sports forever!” “Special shout-out to Barry Bonds for making a lovely guest appearance!”

Lil Wayne Festival:

This celebrity appearance made by rap legend Lil Wayne came just after he had announced his annual LilWeezyAna Fest will return for yet its sixth installment event later this year. Weezy is going to headline as most already suspected, however, he’s bringing some new friends along with him this year. Look out for appearances made by MoneyBagg Yo, Coi Leray, Rob 49, and many more.

“We’re glad to be back home.” Young Money President Mack Maine states, “New Orleans birthed us and we can travel and hit the stage anywhere in the world, but there’s no place like home!”

“As usual we will be honoring the many lives lost in Hurricane Katrina this year as this year marks the 17th year anniversary. Wayne is excited to get back home and this is one you won’t wanna miss!”

DJ Premier:

Hip Hop 50 Vol.1 was created by Mass Appeal as part of this year’s 50th anniversary of the Hip Hop celebration. Lil Wayne will be pairing up with mega talent DJ Premier for this 5 – track Hip Hop outing. Weezy is joined by Slick Rick for “Root Of All” for the tape’s closer is sure to be a vibe considering the selective nature of Slick Rick’s mic share vetting process. Slick was more than willing to share his mic with legendary rap superstar Lil Wayne. Rick was seemingly impressed by Wayne’s penmanship abilities.

“I hit up Rick and he’s like. ‘Well, I’m really picky about who I Rhyme with, is the rhyme dope?” Said Dj Premier to The Fader. “And I was like, ‘Oh yeah, Wayne got busy. ‘As soon as I gave it to him he’s like, ‘Man I love Wayne’s verse. I’m gonna do a hook and a verse, ‘So I was like, ‘Perfect.”
