Lil Uzi Vert & Lil Baby Voice Support for Kodak Following Arrest

Kodak’s Arrest

Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Baby have offered Kodak Black their support and advice amid his latest legal drama.

After Florida police discovered 31 Oxycodone pills and $50,000 in cash in his vehicle during a traffic stop, the “Super Gremlin” rapper was arrested on drug trafficking and possession charges.

Following the posting of a $75,000 bond, the 25-year-old was released and later placed under house arrest. Along with submitting drug tests, wearing a GPS ankle monitor, and remaining at home except for medical reasons, court appearances, or employment, he also agreed to a $225,000 surety bond.

Lil Uzi’s Support

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday (July 27), Lil Uzi Vert questioned why Kodak Black continues to be plagued with legal woes despite being hit in the leg by a stray bullet in February. Additionally, he supported the rapper in his fight against the charges.

“Everybody know Kodak Jus got shot I seen this N-gga with his scripts. Idk why he going thru this shit still Mannn Wtf going on down there In Broward ?” he tweeted. “@KodakBlack1k you blessed tho fam you will threw any situation that’s put in front of you.”

In response, Kodak responded, “SMH Broward B Trippin Bad.”

Lil Baby Hops In

After Uzi’s replies, Lil Baby hopped in and offered Kodak some words of wisdom. He urged him to keep firing and stay low.

“You gotta get the bag an stay low now if days,” 4PF’s hitmaker wrote. Lil Baby has come into contact with the law as well throughout his career.

A heart emoji and crossed fingers emoji were Yak’s response to Baby’s tweet.

NLE Choppa Chimes In

Also bemoaning Kodak Black’s recent arrest, NLE Choppa accused Broward County attorneys of being corrupt and “racist.”

“Broward state attorneys corrupt and racist hopefully this new black dude in office Change Shit around!” he tweeted, referring to Harold Pryor, the county’s first black state attorney appointed in 2020. “I got locked up in broward so I know firsthand.”

In March 2021, Choppa was arrested for burglary, weapons, and drug charges in Davie, Florida. His bond was set at $4,500, and he later claimed that the police had “planted” drugs on him.

Those messages come shortly after Kodak Black addressed the arrest himself on Twitter, calling it a “character assassination.” He also vowed to sue Fort Lauderdale police for the arrest.

“This Shit bogus Af I feel like This a character assassination issue Kuz theirs no way I should be getting harassed bout my tag being expired , that’s no reason to even search my car in the first place and going to jail about having my medication in the car is insane,” he tweeted on July 26. “Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this shit!”

He added, “I’m being racially profiled and as a black man in America I deserve my freedom especially with everything I do for my community I should be getting love , respect and support from the authorities ! To move freely , not getting arrested for expired tag and dark windows.”
