Kendrick Lamar Excited for New Album

On the oklama.com website, Kendrick Lamar initially increased the excitement about his forthcoming album in August. But the announcement was bittersweet when Kendrick revealed the album would be his final album on Top Dawg Entertainment, the label he’s been with since the beginning of his legendary career.

“I spend most of my days with fleeting thoughts,” he wrote. “Writing. Listening. and taking pictures of older Beach cruisers. Morning rides keep me in a mountain of silence. I have gone months without calling. The loss of love, the joy of losing it, and grief have shaken my normal routine. However, the rays of God are evident through my music and my family. As the world changes, I think about what is most important to me. My life, and where my words will be placed in the future.”

He went on to say, “As I produce my final TDE album, I am filled with happiness to be part of such a prestigious cultural influence over the last 17 years. The Struggles. The Achievement. Most importantly, the Brotherhood. Let be the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for the candid creators. In the meantime, I’m pursuing my dream of a lifetime. There’s beauty in the completion. Also, never lose trust in the unknown. I appreciate you keeping me on your mind. I’ve prayed for all of you. I’ll see you soon enough.”
