Jay Z Says “Ambition” & “Ego” Dissembled Murder Inc. Supergroup

The Rise & Fall of Murder Inc. According to Jay Z

Irv Gotti has been getting a lot of attention lately because of his docuseries about Murder Inc, which premiered on BET. This comes after he made an appearance on Drink Champs. Gotti’s label was home to a number of successful artists across a variety of genres in the late 1990s and 2000s, including Ja Rule, Ashanti, Vita, and Charli Baltimore. However, Irv attempted to create a new Hip Hop supergroup before some of these successes, including Ja Rule and Ashanti. This group was poised to take over the culture, but the project was ultimately unsuccessful. Jay-Z has his ideas of why the group dissembled

The Murder Inc. Docuseries

The Murder Inc docuseries does not hold back in the first episode as they discuss the events that took place behind the scenes. Gotti said, “I got the legendary XXL over of Jay, X, and Ja. Murder Inc.” Hov then added, “I think it was everyone’s ambition, everyone’s ego. It was just three guys, three independent labels, three Black men, who were all fighting to be the best in the world.”

“I got the legendary XXL over of Jay, X, and Ja. Murder Inc,” said Gotti. Later, Jay Z added, “I think it was everyone’s ambition, everyone’s ego. It was just three guys, three independent labels, three Black men, who were all fighting to be the best in the world.”
