A product of the concrete jungle, meet the independent artist TY$TONE. Born and raised in New Brunswick, New Jersey, TY$TONE started making music in the summer of 2019. It all started after the passing of his brother in 2018. His brother always told him he should make music based on his talents. TY$TONE made it a priority to help his brother’s legacy live on through music.
TY$TONE Finds Light In Music:
With his melodic track “Rasta Love”, TY$TONE has been able to manage his situation by staying focused on music and staying in touch with his family. This single is a sample of “Is This Love” by Bob Marley. It brings a mix of his West Indian background mixed with the new American culture.
With his single and his music in general, TY$TONE hopes to help people feel like they aren’t alone. He wants his listeners to know that they can be successful regardless of the past or situation that they are in. From losing his brother to gun violence, TY$TONE was put into a dark place. He was able to find light in music and saw it as an opportunity to develop awareness and help people struggling through similar situations.
What’s Next?
TY$TONE has a lot more music coming and hopes to be able to resonate with people from all over the country and all walks of life. He hopes to someday work with Kodak Black or GOVANA and continue to work with high-level engineers.
