A first conversation between Young Thug and Gunna has happened since being indicted for RICO charges by YSL. Following a court hearing on Thursday morning (August 18), the interaction took place virtually. A video chat enabled Thugger and Gunna to speak from behind bars.
Young Thug Checks On Gunna
While waiting for their January trial to begin, Young Thug checked on Gunna to ensure he was doing well mentally.
Young Thug asked, “Hey Wunna, you good?”.
Gunna replied, “Yeah, I’m good,” and asked “You good?”
Joking that Gunna looks like he lost weight in jail, Thug said, “You lost a little bit about that now”.
Gunna and Young Thug’s short-lived conversation came to an abrupt end after court officials chided them for not muting their mics after the hearing.
A Twist In The Case
The name of one YSL associate, who is cooperating with authorities in the case, was named in a leaked document that the Fulton County District Attorney found earlier this week.
Additionally, the witness and their family members have since been threatened, Willis said. A portion of the cooperating statement was circulated on social media, and the D.A.’s office isn’t sure where it came from.
Willis had this to say: “We’re going to have to do things to make sure that the witnesses are safe. We need people to understand that they can cooperate. They can do the right thing and the state will be here to protect them”.
According to Gunna’s Instagram posts, he hopes to be home very soon to properly celebrate the platinum status of his DS4EVER album. The project remains the highest-selling Hip Hop album of 2022.
Gunna wrote to the fans saying,“Thankful to have the highest selling hip hop album this year”. “Miss you all; love you and I’ll be home soon – Gunna.”
