He’s already a Grammy winner and an Oscar winner and is among the most popular artists of all time. However, Eminem is now sporting a new notch to add, and that’s the fact that the Detroit rapper is heading toward the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The megastar, born with the name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is among the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, along with an array of other celebrities:

The class of 2022 get inducted into the Hall of Fame during a ceremony. The ceremony is set to take place in Los Angeles on Nov. 5.
“It’s a happy moment,” Denaun Porter says. Eminem’s longtime producer, right-hand man, and friend for more than 30 years. He first came across Eminem when he visited his home on Rowe Street. Right off Eight Mile seeking an instrumental trackback in 1995. “It’s a win for the home team.”
Em did it on the first try and was eligible for admission 25 years after the album’s debut. He released his first solo effort, “Infinite.” (His major album debut, “The Slim Shady LP,” did not arrive until 1999.) Finally, Em, 49, is the only inductee who made the cut in the first year of eligibility.
One of those who haven’t been invited to the Hall again is Detroit music group MC5. They have appeared on the list six times. MC5 has placed second in the list of Rock Hall nominees with Chuck Willis and a few spots behind Chic. Unfortunately, Chic hasn’t been able to make the cut ten times.
The inductees are chosen by a committee of voters comprised of more than 1,000 musicians, historians, and other people from the music industry. In addition, a vote by the public was also taken into consideration in the selection process. With Eminem being second place, with an impressive 682,000 votes in front of Duran Duran, who received 929,999 votes. Finally, one of the greats is now part of an elite class.
