DJ Khaled Shows Off Lottery Tickets
Despite his wealth and huge success within the music industry, DJ Khaled won’t let anything stop him from playing the lottery. With a reported net worth of $75 million, the Miami native still wants to test his luck.
The DJ posted a clip of himself on Instagram holding many lottery tickets on July 28th (Thursday). The jackpot for the upcoming Mega Millions Drawing is just a little over $1 billion. On Tuesday, July 26th it was worth $830 million, but there were no winners, so the next drawing will be July 29th (Friday).
DJ Khaled captioned his video post, ”I got mine did you get yours are you focused I AM! #GODDID !” You can also hear him saying in the clip, “I hope you played ’cause I played. It’s a billion dollars, I’ma at least try. Mega Millions, you see what’s going on. I ain’t playing with this. I hope you played ’cause I did. They ain’t believe in us, God did.”

Quality Control Music Co-Founder Plays Lottery
Another Hip Hop legend, Pierre ”P” Thomas, got involved with the fun. The Quality Control Music co-founder shared a photo of him holding tickets to twitter and captioned it, ”Why not?” He also responded to several people coming at him for buying tickets saying, “How the hell y’all mad at someone for trying to hit the mega million for a billion? If y’all don’t get the fuck on with that shit. Ain’t nobody trying to be working every day like this.”
DJ Khaled’s Success Journey Within The Industry
DJ Khaled has worked very hard to secure his current financial position, but it was not always like this for him. In an interview with Complex back in 2016, he spoke about the struggles him and his family faced.
He said, ”God has blessed me to see the luxury side of things. I’ve seen my family work so hard and come up, and I’ve seen it all get taken away. I had to man up, and part of that was sleeping in my car, getting an apartment for a month, and getting evicted the next month.”
DJ Khaled has made a name for himself in the Hip Hop industry over the past few decades, collaborating with many of the top creatives. He recently teased visuals to an upcoming single he has with Drake and Lil Baby.
