Reigning out of Houston, Texas, KP Da Don has been working hard for the past three years. Doing everything he can to make a name for himself and building the freedom to live the life he wants. From traveling, doing shows and putting in the groundwork in the city, KP is where he is due to overcoming obstacles and consistently doing the work that needs to be done.
KP Da Don got into music in Houston, inspiration from his grandfather, the culture and the legends from the city. His grandfather was a pastor at the church, leading to KP singing in the choir at six. As he grew up, his passion for music only grew as well. He dedicated his energy to getting into music full-time. He overcame serious hardships, like losing his grandmother without a proper goodbye. These experiences have shaped him into the man he is today.
The upcoming artist is signed to Empire Records with a major distribution deal. His latest EP is doing some serious numbers, and he only plans to build on it. He has a music video to one of the songs, “Air”, which his fans anticipate. He gives a shout out to Spike D for this. In addition, he hopes he can inspire people who listen to his music and want to impact the world positively.
Excited For The Future
So far, KP Da Don’s greatest achievement has been putting out a song remix with Big Pokey. A Texas legend and one of the greatest ever to do it. He has built some solid buzz through the track and hopes to collaborate with Megan The Stallion and Beyonce.
KP has another EP that he is working on right now. He said he will have more details in the future on the name and when it will be released. The EP will be about how the things he has experienced have changed his life for the better. KP says he is just getting started. He has a lot more to share with his audience, and is excited to continue sharing his journey with everyone.
