After A Long Wait, Cardi B Gets Her First Face Tattoo

Cardi’s New Face Tattoo

After contemplating whether she should get her first face tattoo since January, Cardi B got it done. A video taken earlier this week shows Cardi getting a new red tattoo on the left side of her jawline from tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos and hairstylist Luis Santana.

Cardi was also seen sitting next to De Los Santos in an image that surfaced from a fan page. Her social media accounts have yet to display the final product.

After revealing she wanted a face tattoo to honor her son months ago, Cardi B got her new tattoo. It had been on her mind for some time, saying she was very close to doing it.

Cardi tweeted, “Random but…. I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face”. “I really really wanna do it!”

Fans Find Cardi’s Tattoo Ironic

Several fans took issue with Cardi’s request for a face tattoo and dug up a tweet she sent when she was a teenager stating she was glad she didn’t jump the gun. At the time, Cardi said, “Everyday I’m thankful at the fact that ain’t get this face tatt I wanted when I was 16”.

Now that Cardi has changed her mind, she joins the likes of Young Thug, Post Malone, DaBaby, Lil Wayne, and many others, including the Migos.

In recent weeks, Drake had SG inked under his left eye, the initials of his mother. Taking to Instagram, Drizzy showed off the tattoo and revealed the initials were for his mother, Sandra Graham.

Currently, Cardi B is preparing for the upcoming 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Cardi has been nominated for four awards this year, two for hit singles she featured on.

In addition to “No Love,” her collaboration with SZA and Summer Walker, as well as “Wild Side,” her joint with Normani, was nominated for Best R&B, Best Cinematography, and Best Choreography. The four nominations she received are tied with those of Baby Keem and Future.
